JEE Advanced 2026 Review: Students call paper moderate; say Physics manageable, Maths lengthy- Watch

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026, conducted by IIT Roorkee in two shifts across various centres in the country, has left students with a mixed bag of reactions. While some students found the paper to be moderate in terms of difficulty, others felt that the Physics section was manageable, but the Mathematics section was lengthy and challenging.

As the exam concluded, students expressed their thoughts on the overall difficulty level of the paper. Many felt that the questions were well-set and fair, and that the subject-wise variation in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics was a good mix. However, some students found the Mathematics section to be particularly demanding, with many questions requiring lengthy calculations and problem-solving skills.

‘The Physics section was manageable, but the Mathematics section was quite lengthy,’ said Rohan, a student who appeared for the exam. ‘I had to spend a lot of time on the Mathematics questions, and even then, I wasn’t sure if I had solved them correctly.’

Section-Wise Analysis

Physics was the most manageable section for many students, with questions that were clear and concise. However, the Chemistry section was a mixed bag, with some students finding it challenging and others finding it relatively easy. The Mathematics section, as mentioned earlier, was the most demanding, with many questions requiring complex calculations and problem-solving skills.

‘The Chemistry section was a bit tricky, but I managed to get through it,’ said Aarav, another student who appeared for the exam. ‘However, the Mathematics section was a nightmare. I had to spend hours on it, and even then, I wasn’t sure if I had solved it correctly.’

Impact on Student Preparation

The mixed reaction to the paper has left students wondering about their preparation levels. While some students feel that they have done well, others are concerned that they may not have prepared enough for the exam. The subject-wise variation in difficulty has also left students questioning their preparation strategies.

‘I had prepared well for the Physics and Chemistry sections, but I was not prepared for the Mathematics section,’ said Riya, a student who appeared for the exam. ‘I had to spend a lot of time on the Mathematics questions, and even then, I was not sure if I had solved them correctly.’

Future Preparations

As students await the results of the JEE Advanced 2026, they are also looking forward to future preparations. Many students have already started preparing for the next round of exams, and are looking to improve their scores. Others are taking a break, hoping to recharge and come back stronger for the next exam.

‘I am planning to take a break and come back stronger for the next exam,’ said Aarav. ‘I feel that I have prepared well, but I need to work on my Mathematics skills.’

The JEE Advanced 2026 has left students with a mixed bag of reactions, but one thing is certain – the exam has been a challenging and thought-provoking experience for many. As students await the results, they are also looking forward to future preparations, hoping to come back stronger and more confident than ever before.
